There’s few things that have made as heavy an impact on my life as the outdoors. I grew up fishing small saltwater lagoons on Hilton Head Island for redfish and sea trout — plus the occasional micro tarpon — and my father taught me to fly fish as a teenagers so I could wade the high tide flats with him. I still have the perk of owning a Hells Bay skiff from when I was a fishing guide and I spend most of my free time on the water. Working in the outdoor industry for years has afforded me the opportunity to see and participate in all sorts of different activities folks are passionate about; all of these connected by a love for anything that lacks in concrete.. I’m not sure if it’s a lifelong passion or a curse of too much spent on gear I don’t actually need, but the outdoors has become my bread and butter and where I feel most comfortable — whether there’s camera in my hand or not.
